We're a small independent business based in Essex in England, in the UK. We love learning bushcraft skills, camping (wild and not so wild), off roading and basically anything that's exciting and adventurous.

We actually started out life in the classic air-cooled Volkswagen camper van market but have since found our niche in bushcraft and camping. In the VW scene a there's a lot of Haus this and Werks that because of the German connection, so we thought that part of the name worked well. The Out bit is because the things we make are used outdoors. As it turns out, we are now very well known for our Australian style swags so the Aus bit works there too. And, no, it's nothing to do with toilets.

We design all of our products here in Essex. We test them here too, and use them ourselves. We employ manufacturers from all around the globe, including China, India and Poland. We are passionate about quality and work extremely hard to ensure that every item bearing the Outhaus name is built to last. To this end we offer a no quibble Lifetime Warranty on all Outhaus products. We are constantly working to improve the quality wherever possible and any changes made to new versions are for the good, not to reduce cost.

United Kingdom & Northern Ireland

We are pleased to offer free delivery on all UK orders over £50. This is usually by Royal Mail on their 48 hour service or DPD Local if the package is too large for the postman. For orders below £50 we charge £5.95 regardless of size. All deliveries are tracked.

If you are buying from a country outside of the UK we will remove the VAT element of the purchase at the checkout. But please be aware that your country may charge you VAT and/or duty on the import. As we understand things following Brexit, customers in EU countries will not be required to pay import duty but they may need to pay VAT to their customs authority. This would usually bring the cost of the purchase back up to around the published VAT inclusive price on our website.

Sure. We are extremely proud of our products and offer a full warranty for the lifetime of the item. This warranty covers Outhaus branded products for all aspects of failure due to workmanship etc. Other product warranties are as per the manufactuers' own terms. We offer a 5% discount for serving members and veterans of the UK Armed Forces. To take advantage of this offer please register for an account here and send us a scan or photo of your military ID. We will then convert your account to always receive the discount each time you shop. Please note that we reserve the right to not apply this discount in conjunction with other offers. We may also ask you to reconfirm your eligibility from time to time. The discount only applies to Outhaus branded products. This offer cannot be backdated and is subject to change.
